Vittorio's Honey Garlic sauce was originally created in Chef Victor Iacobellis's hometown of Stratford, Ontario in 1988 for the first annual Great Canadian Rib Cook-Off in London, Ontario.
He sourced local honey from an apiary and Victor had a very reliable local garlic grower in his dad, Rocco, who grew all the garlic in the back yard of his home. The product was then prepared in the kitchen of Vittorios, Victor's Stratford restaurant.

Favuzzi San Marzano Tomato Sauce
Why was this product created?
Because authentic pizza is made with the one and only San Marzano tomato.
Distinctive features
San Marzano tomatoes are the only variety to hold a protected designation of origin (PDO). This designation requires that several production rules are respected. For instance, each tomato can must be identified by a code, ensuring product traceability. Each San Marzano tomato producer must also report the number of tomatoes grown each year. To that effect, each tomato can bears a code specifying the number of tomatoes produced to date. San Marzano tomatoes are thinner and pointier. Their flesh is thicker, with fewer seeds, and their taste is bolder, sweeter and less acidic.
Production method
Once picked, the tomatoes are sorted, cooked then peeled. After this first processing step, they are sorted again. This selection in two steps ensures San Marzano tomatoes fully retain their organoleptic properties, since the process is respectful of the product0s naturally delicate character. Furthermore, since the harvest is closely monitored and only the tomatoes from the latest harvest are sold, they are always fresh. The harvest can be traced through the code on the lid of the can: it consists in a company code (unique to our producer), followed by a letter (identifying the year, picked by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development) and a three-digit code representing the production date.
Origin
San Marzano tomatoes come from a well-defined territory including 41 municipalities, the main ones being Agro Sarnese-Nocerino, Acerrano-Nolano, Pompeiana-Stabiese and Montorese. Only this specific region offers the best environmental conditions to cultivate San Marzano tomatoes. In fact, the Mediterranean climate and the fertile soil, rich in volcanic turf from the Vesuvius, are ideal for San Marzano tomatoes to grow and develop their uniquely intense flavour. The Agro Sarnese-Nocerino San Marzano tomato was granted a PDO 1996 and has since been protected from practices that could mislead consumers on the origin of the product, as counterfeiting is unfortunately quite common on the market.
The artisans behind the product
The Napoletano family counts many years of experience growing tomatoes. It was young Giuseppe Napoletano who decided to found a business to export the product he and his family have been cultivating for so long. The family0s know-how has a great influence on the quality or our San Marzano tomatoes: their authentic taste is the result of a careful selection of the raw materials, followed by a nearly artisanal canning process, respectful of traditions.
Uses
Ideal on pizzas, they are also great in all of your best recipes.
Ingredients: Peeled San Marzano tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, basil leaves.
Refrigerate after opening and use within 3 to 4 days. Contains no preservatives.

Favuzzi Puttanesca Tomato Sauce
Why we created this product
Our challenge: to create an authentically Italian sauce that would win over even the most reluctant of mamma0s boys and fill him with sweet nostalgia at every bite! Mission accomplished.
Distinctive features
Originally from the Naples region, authentically Italian alla Puttanesca sauce is characterized by the distinctive taste of capers added to the recipe.
Gold medal winner for Best Tomato Sauce at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington in 2012.
Simple, natural, authentic ingredients combined with the know-how of true Italian cooks. In fact, the signature of the cook who prepared the sauce can be found on the lid of each bottle.
The key ingredient: tomatoes. An Italian sauce is made with Italian tomatoes ripened under the Mediterranean sun, the same as the ones found in our cans of peeled Italian tomatoes.
Production method
Favuzzi sauces are artisanal products prepared in small batches of 150 kg to preserve their colour and aromas. A few locally sourced seasonings are added, such as Sicilian oregano, Calabrian hot peppers and basil and parsley from Abruzzo.
Origin
The tomatoes are grown more specifically in the towns of Gargano and Foggia, located in the peninsula forming the spur of the Italian 0boot0 on a map. Favuzzi sauces also contain another variety, datterino tomatoes from Campania, whose small size and elongated shape recall a date (hence the name datterino). The rich volcanic soil imparts a particularly mild and sweet taste to these tomatoes harvested at the foot of the Vesuvio.
The artisans behind the product
The de Laurentis family has owned the little red house where Favuzzi sauces are produced for two generations. The production line consists of a small army of cooks, busily tending the ovens.
Uses
When you don0t have the time to prepare a complicated meal, a bottle of Favuzzi sauce combined with our artisanal Italian pasta will transport you to one of Rome0s finest restaurants, while those with Italian roots will be reminded of Sunday lunches with the famiglia.
Ingredients: Tomato pulp and sieved cherry tomatoes (80%) from Italy, extra virgin olive oil, green olives, celery, carrot, onion, raisins, pine nuts, sea salt, capers, garlic, aromatic herbs, basil, pepper, acidifier (citric acid).
